“China's science and technology has ranked among the world's top tier,thanks to its outstanding scientists and high-quality education.”said Wolfgang Schüssel,former Chancellor of Austria during the2025Understanding China International Conference held in Guangzhou.

Schüssel said in an interview with21st Century Business Herald that enhanced cooperation and exchanges of cutting-edge ideas among top scientists will benefit all people around the world.

He noted that science and technology are mentioned multiple times in China's15th Five-Year Plan proposals.He emphasized that we should not only focus on"science and technology"but also prioritize"innovation"and talent cultivation."Looking at this year's Nobel Prize laureates,three outstanding scientists have been awarded,and the core lies in innovation.It can be said that innovation is the key to every country's success."

The conference,held from November30to December2,discussed topics including the proposal of the Five-Year Plan of China and the new layout for the Innovative（IIPR） development of Chinese modernization.
